Overview


Boostmyshop supports Canada Post API to generate shipping labels and end-of-day manifests.

Main configuration

To configure Canada Post, select main menu Wizard and click on the Canada Post wizard : 



If the wizard is not available, it means that Canada post is already installed in your account. If you need to change the configuration, select menu sales > shipping label and click on Canada Post.

  1. Main settings
    1. Customer no: your canada post customer number
    2. Contract no: you canada post contract number
    3. Username: your API username
    4. Password: your API password
    5. Output format: Shipping label format
    6. Mode: Production or Test (note : depending of this mode, you need to change username & password)
    7. Debug: if enabled, the query sent to canada post is printed when you try to generate the shipping label. Use this for debug purpose only
  2. International settings
    1. Tariff code: this is the product harmonized code for customs. 
    2. Country of origin: country code (example : CA, CN) for product manufacturer
    3. Province of origin: province code for product manufacturer (required only when country of origin is CA
  3. Sender settings : this is the ship from address

Shipping label generation


During the packing step, if the current order shipping method is a canada post method, the shipping label PDF is automatically generated and the label is downloaded : 






End-of-day Manifest

Before Canada Post driver picks the parcels, you must generate the end-of-day manifest to register the parcels in Canada Post system and print the list of parcels.

To generate a new manifest, select menu Sales > Manifest, and click on button "Create new manifest" in the bottom right corner. 

In the next screen, select carrier "Canada post" and click on "Search shipments" button. Make sure the selected shipments are correct and confirm with button "Create" :



Important notice : even if you can select shipment by shipment here, Canada Post doesnt allow to select finely what shipments are pushed to a manifest : then all shipments for the selected days are automatically sent (ie : if you select a shipment with 1st of january date, all shipments for this date will be pushed to Canada post)


Once the manifest is created, you must then send it to Canada Post : for that, simply click on button "Send EDI" for the new manifest:


Then you can print the manifest using the "Print" button.
