Consumable products management in order preparation

Consumable products overview

Consumable products are products you dont sell but you use during the shipping process, like parcels, cardboard, bags etc...

myFulfillment allows to configure products as consumable, and scan them during the order preparation process so their stock will be decreased after the packing step.

Enable consumable products in myFulfillment

To enable this option, go in the option menu (tools icon in the top right corner), then select tab "Order preparation", section "Packing" and enable the consumable feature:

Get consumable products in myFulfillment

First you need to create the consumable products in your CMS, this way they are imported in myFulfillment.

You dont need to make them visible on your website, just fill a sku, a name, an image and a barcode.

Once consumable products are imported in myFulfillment, you must flag them as consumable products, that can be done from the product view:

Consumable products at packing step

During the packing step, if the consumable feature is enabled and you have flagged products as consumable, a new section will be available at the bottom of the packing screen:

Before you commit the packing, you can manually select the quantity for each consumable product or simply scan the barcode associated to automatically increase the quantity by one.

Once the packing is confirmed, a stock movement is created automatically to decrease the consumable stock level:

This feature is currently not supported by the mobile App
