Free Reception

Overview

Free reception simplify the process of receiving products from a supplier for multiple pending purchase orders. This method allows to create the reception for products, and later associate the products with the required purchase order under a supplier. 

Create Reception

  1. Free reception can be created under Purchasing >> Create new free delivery
  2. In the succeeding page, select the required warehouse to which the products will be received and the supplier whose pending purchase orders are to be allocated. 


  1. You can add the list of products to be received by importing it via CSV. This step is optional and can help if you would like to have an internal check on the list of products that are in expected status.  Here's how: 
    1. Click on the Import expected quantities button at the bottom. 
    2. Import the CSV file. The file must consist of the products SKU and quantities column.
    3. Once the products are imported, they will be listed under the Products tab with the status as Expected. 


  1. The products can be added and received by clicking on the Scan products button at the bottom and scanning its barcode. Once the required products are scanned, click on the Save button. This is method is suggested over the above, as it simultaneously add and receive the product.  



Allocate products to purchase orders

  1. After receiving the products, they can be allocated with the PO's by clicking on the Products allocation button at the bottom.
  2. You can adjust each product's quantity against the required PO column.
