Shipping labels overview
This article will describe what is the purpose of shipping labels, and their basic settings.
Specific articles are then available for specific configurations by carrier template type.
The shipping label menu is available from menu :
Shipping labels will help you to configure the way Connect will be able to export orders information to a CSV, text of PDF file.
Once Packing step of order preparation has been done (Packing documentation), a shipping label wontaining order information will downloaded (automatically or not depending of order preparation configuration).
Information exported will depend on settings made into Shipping label section.
Shipping labels creation, modification and deletion
To manage shipping labels, simply go into Sales >> Shipping labels to find a grid containing all shipping labels created.
Click on any row to edit a shipping template.
You can create a new shipping label using the "Add new template" button located at the bottom-right corner.
Once a shipping label has been created / edited, you will be able to configure it through the different tabs available.
We will only explain in this article the global settings to all template types.
Other settings will be described in specific articles made for each kind of label available.
The general tab will define what kind of shipping label you are creating, and which shipping methods will be associated to it.
Available settings are :
Name : Set there the shipping template name
Status : Set the status to Active to enable this shipping template
Type : Type of shipping label created. Depending of this setting, settings will be specific.
Associate shipping methods : Select there shipping methods that will be associated to this shipping template.
