Overview
This article describe what is the purpose of shipping labels, and their basic settings.
The shipping labels menu is available from menu "Sales > Shipping labels".
Specific articles are available for each transporter, check in the "Shipping labels" section.
Concepts
Shipping labels will help you to configure the way myFulfillment will be able to export shipping information to a CSV, TXT of PDF file.
Once the packing step of order preparation has been done (see : Packing documentation), a shipping label containing order information will be downloaded.
Information exported will depend on settings made into Shipping labels section.
Creation, modification and deletion
To manage shipping labels, simply go into "Sales >> Shipping labels" to find a grid containing all shipping labels created.
Click on any row to edit a shipping template.
You can create a new shipping label using the "Add new template" button located at the bottom-right corner.
Configuration
Once a shipping label has been created / edited, you will be able to configure it through the different tabs available.
We will only explain in this article the global settings to all template types.
Other settings will be described in specific articles made for each kind of label available.
General tab
The general tab will define what kind of shipping label you are creating, and which shipping methods will be associated to it.
Available settings are :
- Name : Set there the shipping template name
- Website : Choose the desired website.
- Status : Set the status to Active to enable this shipping template
- Type : Type of shipping label created. Depending of this setting, settings will be specific.
- Shipping methods : Select there shipping methods that will be associated to this shipping template.
- Warehouses : Select the warehouses for which the templates can be used.
- Stores : Choose the desired stores.
- Countries : Select the countries for which the carrier templates should be applied.
- Disable labels pre-generation : Select the batches for which the labels need not be pre-generated.
Shipping cost matrix tab
The "Shipping cost matrix" tab will define how shipping costs will be calculated for the current carrier template shipping methods.
From there you will be able to create mapping rows, each row being defined with a weight range mathing a shipping method.
Here is an example of a shipping cost matrix made for a "DPD" shipping label template :
With this example, here is how shipping cost would be calculated (with a currency defined to EUR €) for orders having "DPD France Shipping" as shipping method and matching this shipping label template :
- If an order total weight is between 0 and 4.99 kg, shipping costs calculated for this order would be 2.5€
- If an order total weight is between 5 and 14.99 kg, shipping costs calculated for this order would be 5€
- If an order total weight is between 15 and 29.99 kg, shipping costs calculated for this order would be 10€
- If an order total weight is between 30 and 9998.99 kg, shipping costs calculated for this order would be 20€
Shipping costs are calculated for orders at the time shipment(s) are created.
Export
This contains the specifications of the export file like File name, Mime type, File encoding and Orders to export.
Settings
The shipping software's credentials can be provided here to be configured. Below is an example for Royalmail settings:
The ship from details like Company name, Contact name and address can be entered below the Sender settings head. This will be displayed in the shipping label.
Delete carrier template
- Navigate to Sales > Shipping labels.
- Select the carrier template to be deleted.
- Click on the Delete template button.
